Frankfurt 5th – 9th June 2025 - full / waitlist open
The Aviation Society are delighted to announce a 5-day European break to Frankfurt running from Thursday 5th June to Monday 9th June 2025, somewhere TAS has not visited for a number of years and not since the new runway has been built.
We depart Manchester on the morning of the 5th June flying directly to Frankfurt where we will be staying at the Intercity Hotel Frankfurt Airport which is located on the south side, close to the old USAF base and is only a short walk to the Autobahn (Zeppelinheim) spotting location. Frankfurt is an extremely busy airport and offers both photographers and spotters alike good opportunities. Members will be free to do as they please over the next few days using the vehicles provided. Our return will be late on 9th June.
The price of this 5-day trip is just £729 which includes all flights, accommodation (on a bed & breakfast basis and 2 persons sharing) and car hire. Single room occupancy will require a supplement of around £140 and must be requested at time of booking. Places on this trip are strictly limited to TAS members and their immediate family.
Booking – members wishing to secure a place on this trip can be done one of 2 ways. Either by sending a cheque for the non-refundable deposit of £300 made payable to “The Aviation Society” to the address below and include your TAS membership number, email address and telephone number for confirmation. Please also enclose an SAE. Alternatively, please send an email to john_wood11@sky.com (with similar details) requesting a place on the trip and TAS bank details will be given once your place is confirmed so a bank transfer for £300 can be made. Paris 28th August – 1st September 2025 - full / waitlist open
The Aviation Society are delighted to announce a 5-day/4 night European break to Paris running from Thursday 28th August to Monday 1st September 2025, somewhere TAS has not visited since the days of the famed TAS coach trips to the Paris Airshow a good few years ago.
We depart Manchester with Air France from Terminal 2 at 05.55hrs on the morning of the Thursday 28th August flying directly to Paris Charles De Gaulle where we will be staying at the Ibis Airport Hotel. Charles De Gaulle Airport is an extremely busy and vast airport and offers both photographers and spotters alike good opportunities. Members will be free to do as they please over the next few days using the vehicles provided which will enable us to visit the other airports located in the Paris area, namely Orly & Le Bourget. Our return flight arrives back in to Terminal 2 at Manchester at 22.05hrs on Monday 1st September.
